Coffs Coast Wildlife Sanctuary

Every day our dedicated team strives to engage and inspire visitors to protect our local animals and their environment through education and unique experiences. Coffs Coast Wildlife Sanctuary is a multi-award-winning marine and terrestrial wildlife sanctuary situated on the NSW Mid North Coast in Coffs Harbour, midway between Sydney and Brisbane. Our sanctuary overlooks Coffs Creek and is close to Coffs Harbours popular Jetty precinct. The sanctuary opened in 1970 as the Pet Porpoise Pool as a rescue and rehabilitation centre for native marine animals, and we continue this work today. We are home to many marine animals including Indo-Pacific bottle-nose dolphins, Australian sea lions, a colony of little blue penguins, green sea turtles, freshwater turtles, and a variety of local fish species.
