Our name derives from Edinburghs Calton Hill, which was originally called Caltoun, meaning Cold Town. Since the 16th Century, Edinburgh has been a brewers city. Opinions vary why but the quality of our natural water and ease of access to first class local barley makes the city and ideal place for brewing beer
