Collins Manufacturing was founded in 1972 in Ashland, Oregon by Collins Hassell as the exclusive manufacturer of the Hi-Speed Dolly. Following in their fathers footsteps of working in the logging and trucking industry. Collins Hassell and his brother Ray founded Hassell Fabrication in 1954, which still operates today and specializes in building logging bunks for carrying heavy timber loads in the famous Oregon logging industry. In 1972, Collins Hassell was approached by salesman Charlie Nowell with an idea to design the Worlds first articulating self-loading tow dolly.
