Combaj company was established by the late, Constantine Metri Bajjali, under the name Bajjali Stores in Haifa, Palestine in 1928. It was amongst the first handful of companies that specialized in exporting and distributing worldwide merchandise, at the time in the year 1949 was the opening of the first ever supermarket in the entire Jordanian kingdom at Al-Salt St., The year 1958 was the year of expanding business by the opening of the first one of its kind supermarket in Jordan.
