Common Ground on the Hill

Common Ground on the Hill is a 501(c)3 nonprofit arts organization based in Westminster, MD, United States. Founded in 1994, Common Ground on the Hill is a roots-based, traditional arts, non-profit organization housed on the campus of McDaniel College in Westminster, Maryland. Created on the premise that there is a common human thread unifying all people and expressed in our various artistic traditions, our mission is to make this thread a path towards human understanding, tolerance, fulfillment, and enjoyment. Common Ground on the Hill has grown to include two Traditions Weeks of classes and concerts on the McDaniel College campus, the Common Ground on the Hill Festival a weekend of music, dance, crafts, food and continuous musical performances on 4 stages, the venerable Deer Creek Fiddlers Convention, both at the Carroll County Farm Museum, the Zepp Center for Nonviolence and Peace Education, two concert series (Baltimore and Westminster), and the 3-day Common Ground on the Bo...
