Communities In Schools of Washington is part of the nations largest and most effective organization dedicated to keeping kids in school and helping them succeed in life. In Washington state, we operate as a network of 11 local, independent affiliates serving over 80,000 students in 9 counties and 26 school districts. Our affiliates work closely with schools, social services, businesses and volunteers in their communities to connect young people with the resources they need to learn and grow: mentors and tutors, after-school care, family services, health care, food, clothing, school supplies and more so they can focus on learning. As part of a community that cares for students, we believe that kids can overcome barriers and develop plans for a bright future.
