Community Action to Restore Lives

CARL is an indigenous Sierra Leonean NonGovernmental Organization registered with all relevant stakeholders, as obligated by the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development and SALNGO. This organization was born out of the need to restore the lives and dignity of women and children. Considering the huge gap that exists within the country for the advancement of girls and womens rights, it is necessary for them to understand their rights and how they can be empowered to move out of poverty and transform their own lives and that of their families and communities. Since its formation in 2011 CARL has made progress by contributing to national development through local level community-based work and like-minded organizations like International Organizations, government and local organizations in Sierra Leone.
