COMMUNITY KITCHEN OF MONROE COUNTY INC

Community Kitchen, serving meals since 1983, is the largest free meal provider in Monroe County, with programs that reach across the community and target those most at risk of hunger. Our programs include Senior Links in collaboration with Area 10 Agency on Aging, Nutrition Links in partnership with IU Healths Positive Link program, meals and snacks for childrens programs for several partners including Headstart, The Rise, The Boys and Girls Club, and Crestmont, and Summer Food Service Program along with Backpack Buddies with area schools. Our mission is to work, alone and in collaboration with others, to eliminate hunger in Monroe County and surrounding areas through direct service, education, and advocacy. All of Community Kitchens services are offered free of charge and all staff and volunteers strive to maintain the dignity and anonymity of our patrons.
