Saving money and resources, together. Since 2008, the CWC has trained volunteers as Energy Coaches, providing free home energy audits, or tune-ups, to low-income residents in Alachua County, Florida. Energy Coaches review utility bills, work with residents and learn how they use their home, and install energy-saving LED light bulbs, water-saving shower heads, faucet aerators, pipe insulation and more. Residents save an average of $250-$300/year following our tune-ups, while conserving 1,600 kilowatt hours of energy, and 6,200 gallons of fresh water.
