Computer Shiksha

Computer Shiksha is an 80G and 12A certified non-profit organization, bringing FREE foundational computer literacy (FCL) to students from underserved schools and communities. These schools do not have the resources to set up computer labs or maintain them. Additionally, they do not have trained teachers who can conduct computer classes. To date, we have received 10,761 end-of-life computers from corporations, refurbished them, and set up 1300+ computer labs in 2201 schools across 28 states in India, with 639,929 students currently undertaking the courses. More than 110,421 students have been certified and 1927 teachers trained. The donated computers last for another 5-7 years. They would otherwise have been discarded as waste. We provide free lifetime maintenance of the hardware, which ensures a 95+% uptime.
