Cooper Tacia General Contracting Company

Our company is the product of a partnership formed between two high school students, John Cooper and Chris Tacia, in 1996. The two began a business splitting firewood and selling it by the truckload to local folks around Sanford, NC. Proceeds from selling firewood became the seed money for a small development in western Harnett County, NC. We were incorporated in 2003 and named Southeastern Properties and Development Company as a reflection of John and Chris dreams of developing large neighborhoods and constructing all of the houses in them. Our first construction projects took place in the early 2000s. They were mostly small residential renovations like bathroom and kitchen remodels, along with the construction of a single home that we built speculatively. Over the years many opportunities have presented themselves, including custom-built homes, and we have steadily grown our client and revenue base.
