COPECARE

Copenhagen Center for Arthritis Research (COPECARE) is an award-winning research unit within rheumatology, focusing on inflammatory joint diseases. The unit is organized under Department of Spine Diseases, Centre of Head and Orhopaedics, Copenhagen University Hospital, Rigshospitalet Glostrup. The unit comprises around 50 employees, including 4 professors, 10-15 post docs, 10-15 PhDs, a data team and a group of administrative staff members. First of all, the researchers at COPECARE study rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, axial spondyloarthritis and gout. A large number of patients suffering from these diseases participate in research projects which are initiated by COPECARE or our collaborators. The overall purpose of these projects is to develop ever better diagnostics, management and treatment for patients suffering from rheumatic diseases.
