Corbets Tey School

Corbets Tey School is a school for students with Complex Learning Needs. The school is a state maintained, foundation special school situated in Upminster, Essex in the south east of the London Borough of Havering. Up to 155 children and young people attend the school aged 4 to 19, all with Education, Health and Care Plans detailing educational needs including communication and interaction difficulties, Autism and medical syndromes and physical and sensory needs. There are two sites with Pre-16 students at the main site in Upminster and Post 16 students at the CTS @ The Avelon provision in Rainham. The school was awarded Specialist Status in Communication and Interaction in 2007, successfully re-designating in 2010. An internal specialist department was established alongside individual language and communication programmes.
