CORD - Chinmaya Organization for Rural Development CORD is the service wing of Chinmaya Mission which has been working towards holistic rural development for over three decades. Although CORD was formed in 2003, it is actually a continuation and national expansion of its earlier work in comprehensive integrated rural development under Chinmaya Rural Primary Health Care and Training Centre (CRPHC&TC) founded in 1985, which was a development wing of Chinmaya Tapovan Trust (CTT), located in district Kangra, Himachal Pradesh. CORD has over 35 years of experience in comprehensive integrated rural development work in 895 villages (India). Starting in 2005, CORD embarked on replicating its success in Himachal Pradesh to other states in India Viz. Odisha and Tamil Nadu.
