Dabane is a lead Non-Governmental Organization dedicated to establishing water and food secure communities within arid and semi-arid areas. The organization was established as a Trust in 1991 and acquired the Private Voluntary Organization (PVO) status in 2013, registration number 25/2013. The organization operates in the south-western areas of the country that are generally classified as arid and semi-arid rangelands, namely Matabeleland South and Matabeleland North, where it develops and supports sustainable low technology community initiatives
