Daily Sundial

The Daily Sundial is the award-winning student newspaper and website for California State University Northridge. We are student journalists who seek to gather, write, edit and publish or disseminate news for our students and community. We want to connect with our audience both online and in print and embrace the changes in journalism. In our efforts to tell compelling stories in any form, as well as breaking news, we want to be the go-to source for information and the voice of CSUN. The Sundial has won 19 awards at the California College Media Associations Excellence in Student Media Awards at CSU Fullerton. The Sundial won 3rd place on general excellence for daily newspapers in the state behind Berkeley and UCLA. Additionally, the staff won first place for Best Breaking News Coverage for its coverage of the suspected gunman on campus.
