Dale Hardware Inc

Dale Hardware was founded in 1955 by Bill and Elinor Smith when the area was mostly farmland. The town was called Centerville and had a population of about 8,000. It wasnt until a year later that the city of Fremont was formed. Since then, the city and Dale Hardware have grown together. Dale Hardware started with two employees in a 5,000 square foot space near our present location. Sixteen years later, in 1971, we moved to a 16,000 square foot space vacated by a supermarket. In the early eighties, plans and construction began on our present site. Our expansion continued in 1988 with the opening of Dale Commercial & Industrial Supply (DCIS) dedicated to helping our Business To Business customers In 2011, we underwent a major remodel adding a beautiful outdoor nursery and an indoor drive-thru lumberyard, as well as enlarging the amount of floor space.
