DAT Deutsche Automobil Treuhand

Deutsche Automobil Treuhand GmbH (DAT) is an international company operating within the automotive industry. In accordance with its mandate, it collects and prepares comprehensive vehicle data and provides the sector with cost-effective, nationwide access to it via the SilverDAT System. DAT sees itself as a neutral intermediary between all the stakeholders in the automotive industry. Ever since 1931 it has been funded by its three partners: the VDA (Association of the German Automotive Industry), the VDIK (Association of International Motor Vehicle Manufacturers) and the ZDK (German Federation for Motor Trades and Repairs). This structure gives DAT a unique status and a special mandate within the automotive industry.
