The David Brower Center provides a home for the environmental movement by advocating for the beauty, diversity, and ecological integrity of Earth. Through permanent infrastructure and ongoing programs we: inform the public about environmental challenges we all face and bold actions we must take to save people and planet inspire people to own their power and responsibility to hold larger industries and systems accountable, including individual daily choices connect people and organizations dedicated to social equity and ecological sustainability. We are named in honor of David Brower, a Berkeley native many consider the father of the modern environmental movement
