DEARSAN Shipyard has been recognized as Turkeys prominent shipbuilding company since its establishment in 1980. Until 2007, many commercial vessels such as ocean going tugboats, chemical and oil tankers, fast passenger ferries and cargo ships have been built or repaired. DEARSAN has added a significant privilege to its design and construction capabilities by focusing on naval shipbuilding, considered to be more comprehensive field of expertise since 2007. 16 units of New Type Patrol Vessels (TUZLA CLASS) were successfully delivered under the agreement between DEARSAN Co. and the Undersecretariat of Defense Industry on August 23, 2007, based on the needs of Turkish Navy Command.
