Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited

DFCCIL, one of the most ambitious and significant infrastructure projects of Modern India is a gamechanger in the field of logistics and is envisaged to reduce the unit cost of logistics by faster, higher, longer and higher freight movement and provide a boost for Aatmanirbhar Bharat (Self-Reliant India). DFCCIL is a SPV under the Ministry of Railways tasked with the construction, operation and maintenance of the dedicated freight corridors. Currently, it is executing the Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor from Ludhiana in Punjab to Dankuni in West Bengal measuring 1875 km (which includes the 538 km Sonnagar- Dankuni PPP section). The Western Dedicated Freight Corridor from JNPT in Maharashtra to Dadri in Uttar Pradesh measures 1506 km. Work is continuing on a war-footing and around 1277 kms has been completed as on 31.03.2022.
