Defence Laboratories School, RCI

The Defence Laboratories School, RCI, was established in the year 1988, under the initiation of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, the former President of India. It was formally inaugurated on 14th July 1988 by Dr. P. Rama Rao, the then Director, DMRL. Location The school is situated within the RCI residential complex, almost 20 Km, from the hub of the city on a sprawling 12-acre piece of land in a calm, peaceful, serene, absolutely pollution-free locale. Away from the noisy humdrum of the city, the RCI School provides an ideal environment for academic pursuit. The school was started as a branch of Defence Laboratories School, Kanchanbagh, primarily to cater to the educational needs of the children of employees working at RCI and also the wards of the employees of DRDL, ASL, DMRL, DLRL, ANURAG and other allied projects and services.
