Delfin Midstream

Delfin Midstream is a leading developer of LNG export projects in North America using FLNG (Floating LNG technology). FLNG has successfully been developed over the past decade and floating liquefiers offer a low-cost solution. Compared to onshore LNG projects the fundamental differentiators for Delfin are the ability to take FID on each FLNG vessel of up to 3.5 MTPA at significantly lower cost levels than large-scale onshore plants (of >10 mtpa). Secondly, Delfin constructs the FLNG vessels at efficient shipyards with Asian financing & credit support. Its anchor project is the Delfin LNG project offshore Louisiana. The company has completed the permitting work under the Deep Water Port Act and received the Record-of-Decision from MARAD for four FLNG Vessels. Moreover the company received the Non-FTA export license for up to 13 mtpa from the Department of Energy.
