As an Indonesian record label operating outside the boundaries of mainstream music, one of DIMIs main missions is to seek out artists who possess the talent, vision, and passion to create something refreshing and impressive. David Karto, Sandy Maheswara, and Adhi Djimar founded DIMI out of their friendship with independent music communities and love for music itself. Operating out of a container in South Jakartas busy Gandaria area from 2000 until 2005, the label has grown into a respectable peddler of quality music. The labels current catalogue comprise of more than 100 local artists boasting a variety of genre.
