Denver Food Rescue

Denver Food Rescue is a 501(c)3 non-profit in Denver, Colorado. Our mission is to produce health equity with Denver neighborhoods. We utilize fresh edible whole fruits & veggies that would would otherwise be thrown away from retailers & directly distribute them to neighborhoods in the Denver Metro area with barriers to healthy food access. All of our No Cost Grocery Programs are co-created and led by residents of the communities! Programs are located at schools, community centers, and after school programs. Health equity: At DFR we believe that health is a right that should be enjoyed by everyone. The current system creates health gaps between people, particularly impacting low-income people and people of color. There is no blanket solution to improve the health of our communities.
