Our department at the University of Ghana, established in 1962, has been at the forefront of groundbreaking research and transformative education in the fields of Biochemistry, Cell, and Molecular Biology. Through our comprehensive programs, we explore the chemical processes, structure, and functions of cells and the molecular basis of life processes. With a strong focus on laboratory and research-based sciences, we apply the concepts of Biology and Chemistry to unlock the mysteries of biological systems. We proudly share a building with the West African Centre for Cell Biology of Infectious Pathogens (WACCBIP), a World Bank African Centre of Excellence, and collaborate with them and the Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research (NMIMR) for groundbreaking research works. By combining expertise and resources, we are driving innovation in our field.
