Department of Tourism and Archaeology was established by the Emiri Decree No. 01 of 2019 issued by His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of UAQ. Department of Tourism and Archaeology aims to coordinate the development and promotion of tourism locally and internationally in line with the cultural heritage and authentic values of Emirati society. It focuses on promoting the Emirates historical and cultural heritage and preserving monuments and national identity, bringing many benefits to the nation. Department of Tourism and Archaeology works on developing the tourism and archaeological sector in the Emirate, in coordination with authorities, by investing in environmental and cultural capabilities.
