The Department of Defense Dependents Schools - Europe (DoDDS-E) is part of the Department of Defense Education Activity ( DoDEA). There are three educational systems within DoDEA: DoDDS-Europe DoDDS-Pacific DDESS (Domestic Dependent Elementary and Secondary Schools) DoDDS-Europe operates 81 schools within five districts throughout Europe. DoDDS-Europe serves over 35,000 school-age children of active duty military and civilian employees.
