Our story begins in 1989 when Erik Tygesen, with his love for Christmas, founded Det Gamle Apotek. What started as an idea of an adventurous shop for the Holidays has since evolved into a year-round universe of home decor and seasonal items. The original shop in Tnder still stands and has grown to include a shop in Copenhagen, multiple pop-up shops every year and 2 webshops. Det Gamle Apotek A/S has over time become one of the largest suppliers of seasonal products in Scandinavia with collections ranging from Birthdays to Halloween, Easter, Christmas and many more. You will find that most of our products are a part of our own design which pays homage to our Scandinavian roots. Our design-team comes up with many new designs each year to make sure that we always have new, beautiful products to offer.
