Det norske maskinistforbund - DNMF - er en partipolitisk uavhengig organisasjon. Forbundet er med i Unio. - Som medlem opptas enhver med norsk eller likeverdig utenlandsk maskinistsertifikat. - Som medlem opptas ogsa annet teknisk personell innenfor relatert virksomhet. Eksempler: Borepersonell pa flyttbare borerigger, elektrikere, kraftstasjonspersonell, branntjenestemenn og teknisk ansatte i forbrenningsanlegg. Norwegian Union of Marine Engineers NUME (Norwegian abb: DNMF) is an organization independent of all political parties. The Union is a member of the confederation UNIO. Since 1896 the Union has published its trade journal Norsk Maskin-Tidende. In 2008 this journal was replaced by the trade journal, Maritim Logg, which is published jointly by the three Norwegian Unions for seamen.
