Dewsbury & Proud was established in 1977 by Jerry Dewsbury and Tony Proud with a 6 Ton Mobile Crane. One year later and the purchase of the Companys first new truck mounted telescopic crane, a 15 ton Hydrocon, laid the seeds of the strong foundations that the Company is built on today. Since those early days Dewsbury & Proud has expanded and in-bedded itself as the largest independent crane hire company in the Midlands, with over 40 cranes based at our four strategic depots, Wolverhampton, Stoke-On-Trent, Coventry and Leicester securing our customers a reliable service network throughout the midlands. Since 1977 we have developed a first class reputation with the emphasis on quality of service, safety and reliability, traits which have followed us through in to the 21st Century.
