Dhaka University Rover Scout Group

Dhaka University Rover Scout Group is one of the oldest and most prestigious Rover Scout groups in Bangladesh. It has been playing an important role in the development and expansion of the scout movement in the country. It also has been playing a key role in various disciplinary & voluntary activities of the university. Although this group was established at the beginning of the 1960s, its full activities started after the 1st investiture ceremony, held in the 1965-66 session. In 1963, Rover Md. Ramjul Haq participated in the 11th World Scout Jamboree which was held in Greece. Later in 1967, the participation of four Rover Scouts in the 4th Pakistan National Jamboree, held at the campus of University of Karachi, received wide attention and praises by all.
