The Department of Biotechnology (University of Verona) has been awarded by the ANVUR (National Agency for the Evaluation of the University and Research System) with a Seal of Excellence and a 7-million euro grant. The ANVURs action aims to identify and finance (every five years) the best 180 Italian Departments, which are characterized by excellence in scientific research and teaching organization. The Excellence Project at our Department is dedicated to green chemistry. The broad objective of this project is to promote the interaction and integration between various local as well as national supply chains, in order to reduce their costs while alleviating their environmental impact.
