Disha Public School

Disha Public School is a part of Disha Educational & Social Care Organization (DESCO), a registered non-profit organization, founded by an academician couple with 20+ years of experience teaching at the University of Delhi. It is a school where first-generation schoolgoers from difficult socio-economic backgrounds, often denied education in other schools, are openly welcomed. DESCO has the mission to eradicate illiteracy by providing subsidized, continual and quality education to children of the community of Jasola, New Delhi. Many among its current 500+ students pay nominal fees or study free of cost by paying their school fees in the form of plastic waste from their homes and participate in the schools Recycling Center while learning environmental science.
