Divya Jyoti Institute started in 1998 Korba with two deaf children and two teachers under the supervision of Rita Kshetrapal. The institute was set up as part of an all-women registered Inner Wheel Education Society initiative based on the three pillars of Friendship, Service and Understanding. Stories of success from the two children brought in more and more differently-abled young people from nearby villages and towns, rapidly increasing the number of students and the need for teachers.
