It is first and foremost a desire to practice architecture in an authentic way that drives Eric Desjardins and Sonkham Khamlong to found DKA in 2009. Motivated by the ambition to become a reference in the field, the two architects choose to bet on collegiality, family and creativity to break the shackles of the profession as they knew it until then. Quickly, the essence of DKA Architects was able to rally to its cause a crowd of passionate professionals, including new talents Virginie Roy Montpellier and Vincent Deslauriers, who joined as partners in 2017. Since then, the family has continued to grow: the firm which then had about twenty employees, now has more than fifty! DKA Architects is a culture, a community, a singular thought that supports its clients in the creation of a space that embodies them.
