The home for storytelling that changes your world. Our kaupapa (purpose) is to celebrate, support, and showcase documentary. Doc Edge is a not-for-profit charitable trust serving as New Zealands national organisation for documentaries since 2005. It is also a premiere Asia Pacific hub for all things documentary. Our programmes include the following: Doc Edge Festival is New Zealands Academy Awards qualifying international documentary festival, showcasing the best films and immersive projects from New Zealand and around the world. It includes the Awards, Schools Programme, Forum, Pitch & Market (industry events), and Immersive Exhibition. Doc Edge Awards celebrate excellence and achievement in documentary filmmaking, with winners of the best New Zealand and international short and feature films receiving an Oscar consideration as well as cash and in-kind prizes.
