DEW Ltd is an important strategic and national maritime industry of Bangladesh. It was established in 1922. Initially this organization was a profit making concern since her inception both before and after the independence of Bangladesh. Later on, due to various reasons during late nineties, the industry started incurring severe losses and consequently was laid off at the end of 2002.
