Students City Cultural Center was founded in 1971. was open in May 1974. The founders of the Center are the University of Belgrade and the University Board ofthe Yugoslav Student Association. By the Act of the Serbian Government of the Republic of Serbia from 1993, the founder of the Cultural Center became the Government ofthe Republic of Serbia. According to the Law on the pupils and students standard from 1992, the basic conditions for the status changes were created in order to enable the Students City Cultural Center to become an institution of the pupils and students standard.
