Domeniile Averesti Romania

Located in the Northen-Eastern part of Moldavia, one of Romanias regions, within Husi area, Averesti Estates, was the first wine making entity made out in Averesti village since nintenth century. In 1874, then the landowner, Stefan Negruzzi, started a vineyard, with local and French wine grapes. From the same period dates the wine cellar with a 150 meters main hallway, five stone archways and ten secondary cellars, and the Averesti Manor. Time witnessed it becoming a symbol for the cellar under the wise and peaceful surveillance of a dendrological park with secular chestnut, linden and locust trees. The first wine maker, Rene Faure, came from France to care for the domains and brought with him also some French varieties like Cabernet Sauvignon and Aligote to dovetail together with the Romanian authentic grapes.
