The Donald Beasley Institute is a national, independent, non-profit organisation based in Dunedin, New Zealand. Established in 1984, the Institute is recognised nationally and internationally as a leader in the field of learning disability (intellectual disability) research. Governed by a Trust Board, the Institutes activities are carried out by an experienced research team. We aim to advance the health and wellbeing of people with intellectual disability (learning disability) in New Zealand through applied research, evaluation and education.
