Downtown Boston

The Downtown Boston Business Improvement District Corp. is a private nonprofit created and funded by property and business owners committed to revitalizing this historic and treasured neighborhood. We serve the Theater District, Ladder District, Downtown Crossing, and the Financial District through programs and supplemental services to create a clean, welcoming, and vibrant downtown. The Downtown Boston Business Improvement District is Bostons first BID and one of only six in Massachusetts. A binding assessment levied on all commercial property owners based on property value funds BID activities. A 33-member board of directors elected by BID members oversees the organization. This board represents the cross-section of Bostons business and residential communities found in the district and is responsive to property owners, retailers and residents.
