Dyberg Insurance was founded in 1953 by Butch Dyberg. The company has been an institution in the Whyte Avenue and the Old Strathcona community since the 60s, and moved to their current location in 1994. Dyberg Insurance is a part of the Strathcona community in more ways than one. As long-time supporters of the Fringe festival, Dyberg seeks to support the local art scene! Karen Dyberg took over as company President in 1993, and Scott Macinnis joined the team in 2008, becoming a partner in 2013. Karen and Scott seek to make the insurance industry better. They prioritize the needs of their clients above any insurance company, and as such are not tied to any specific company. They have volunteered their time with the brokers association, Karen Dyberg as President of IBAA and a director of IBAC Insurance Brokers of Canada, and Scott Macinnis with the PYIB Professional Young Insurance Brokers.
