The school does not select on ability or aptitude and will cater for more than 1000 pupils aged 11-18, including a sixth form of 400 plus, in one of the most deprived boroughs in Europe. The Principal David Perks, is a Physics teacher with more than 25 years experience in the state sector who has advised the DfE on the new National Curriculum for science. The curriculum is built around subject specialist teaching and a fantastic enrichment curriculum based on regular visits into central London.
