East Thames is one of the largest providers of affordable housing in east London and Essex. We own and manage almost 15,000 homes. But were more than just a landlord we also build new homes, provide care and support services and offer employment and training programmes. We know that providing a safe and well maintained home is the most important part of our work, but our philosophy has always been to help people improve their neighbourhoods and their lives. In December 2016, we merged with L&Q to become a wholly owned subsidiary of the L&Q Group. Our mission is to combine our social purpose and commercial drive to create homes and neighbourhoods we can be proud of Our focus is firmly on east London and Essex. This has been the case since we started as a small housing association in 1979, and that commitment hasnt changed
