Eco Femme

Eco Femme is a women-led social enterprise founded in 2010. Based in Tamil Nadu, India, our goal is to create environmental and social change through revitalizing menstrual practices that are healthy, environmentally sustainable, culturally responsive and empowering for women around the world. We produce and sell washable cloth pads, provide menstrual health education, and open dialogues on menstruation all along the way. Eco Femme works in the area of: Livelihood: We assist marginalised rural Indian women in self help groups to earn by stitching cloth washable menstrual pads which are ethically traded. Education: We develop educational resources and work with schools and NGOs facilitating educational programs that foster a responsible, healthy and dignified menstrual experience for girls and women.
