ecobirmingham is here to help create a sustainable city. We exist to affect that social change and the transition towards a low-carbon and sustainable lifestyle. By inspiring and supporting communities and organisations across Birmingham to take positive action, we will demonstrate that building low carbon communities brings benefits, opportunities and well-being to everyone, whilst protecting our environment. Whether its learning to ride a bike, gaining skills in food growing, raising awareness of local issues or contributing to the debate in the city we will help you along your journey. Created in 2009 as Northfield Ecocentre, a project of Central England Quakers, we became an independent charity in July 2018, allowing us to grow our work across the city. Our work continues to be inspired by the Quaker values of equality and justice; peace; truth and integrity; simplicity and sustainability.
