Ecole Nationale Superieure des Mines de Rabat (ENIM)

Ecole National Superieure des Mines de Rabat (ENIM) is an Engineering school since 1972 and a higher education institution since the 1920s. Initially, the main mission of the ENIM was to Form engineers for the mining and mineral industry. Thus between 1975 and 1983, ENIM engineers were formed in the fields of Geology, Mining and Minerals processing. In 1977, metallurgy major was created to support Moroccos efforts in the field of steel and development of Metallurgical Industry launched at that time. In 1983, ENIM saw the creation of two new departments, namely the Electromechanical Engineering, and Chemical & Energy Engineering, to meet national needs in these areas. At the same time the Metallurgy Department was transformed into Materials Science Department; while Geology and Earth Sciences department and the Department of Exploitation of Mines and Mineral Valuation were both merged into one department: Mining Department.
