Edmonton Fringe Theatre

We exist because theatre exists, and what exists here doesnt exist anywhere else in the world. We are Edmonton-grown and Edmonton-owned, and the vibrant success of Fringe is thanks to the more than 38,000 artists who have bravely taken an artistic risk with us since we exploded onto the scene in 1982. At Fringe Theatre, we believe in the power of story. Theatre is an exchange: a living, breathing story shared among people. We believe everyone has something to contribute. And, we believe in making theatre accessible to everyone. We are honoured to find ourselves in Amiskowaciywaskahikan ( ), colonially known as Edmonton, part of the larger Treaty 6 territory. For thousands of years, people have gathered here each summer to share in story, community, and creative exchange.
