Edmundite Missions

Edmundite Missions, a Catholic organization, has fulfilled our Biblical calling for over 80 years by quietly serving the suffering living in Alabamas poverty-stricken Black Belt region. What began in 1937 as a courageous fight for victims of discrimination in the Deep South quickly broadened to include outreach ministries of compassion providing essential daily needs of food, clothing and shelter to the poor. Today, Edmundite Missions continues as the areas largest and most respected nonprofit organization, addressing the overwhelming prevalence of homelessness, extreme poverty and hunger. We are a proven innovator in providing responsive solutions that address some of the most pressing issues affecting the rural poor. Our current outreach programs include: o The Bosco Nutrition Center in Selma - a nurtrion center serving a hot, nutritious lunch and dinner 365 days a year.
